A Few Random Things

As some of you know, I am taking this Mondo Beyondo course online and it is taking up a huge amount of headspace. I mean, it is fantastic and thrilling and the community is filled to the brim with creative and kind women but good lord, there are a lot of them. Trying to keep up with discussion threads while commenting and engaging with them has just been overwhelming. I have dialed back my participation a bit, hopefully it will give me a chance to clear my head.

Max is loving third grade. His new teacher, Mrs. A is enthusiastic and warm and she seems to really see Max and get him.

It rained a little last night. Frank and I stood on the porch and watched.

After running with so much enthusiasm, I fell out of practice over the last few weeks of the summer. So it was with fear and trepidation that I ran yesterday for the first time in three weeks. It was not as bad as I thought it would be. The running came right back to me but today I am sore and walking very slowly.

And on a completely unrelated note, I am thinking about buying a scooter.

  1. I need a cup of coffee, so that I can make a comment that makes sense. Right now, all I can come up with is "Scooter! Shiny!".

  3. I'm desperately waiting for coffee, too, this morning but will give this commenting thing my best shot~~~

I checked out that MondoBeyondo site and am sooo very interested in hearing more about it. I love that whole journal you had going (sorry, can't remember the name but it looked like so much fun!)...is this more of the same?
Tell us more, if you can!!

A scooter? So big over here...(as is running, but neither do much for me!). And yeah....shiny...you need a really shiny one!

  4. Ooh...scooter. I've been wanting one too - like a Vespa. Rode one all over Nantucket many moons ago (before kids) and loved it.

  5. I'm now picturing you on a scooter, wearing a hat, with a shopping basket in the back, a baguette peeking out...yes, scooter!!

I'm so glad for you and Max! Nathan ended up getting the teacher he wanted, and she seems sweet--such a relief! Aren't you glad that "beginning school again tension" is dissipating?!
