Two days. It took my journal two days to dry out in the hot South Texas sun, and by the time it was dry, it was time to leave for our family vacation.
I took the journal with me but it rarely saw the light of day. So, I left a memento in the bed at the hotel
and when we got home, we brought the journal out to play.

The little one is so funny - everytime it comes around, it gets a little kick or dirt smudge - some extra little wrecking treat.
ReplyDeleteAren't you people afraid to encourage your kids to wreck your stuff? Aren't you supposed to be training them the opposite, lol?
I left it over to my daughter to deal with the destructive page in my journal, but she refuses. "No it's too beautiful" she says. So she only painted some things in it.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to see, that other kids aren't so peculiar about it. *smile*
Did you sleep with your journal while on vacation? That counts!!
ReplyDeleteI am your swap partner. You can get my eMail from: http://gemmashouse.blogspot.com

FABU! :) Happy wrecking...
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool that you left that page behind!! I wonder what the maid thought....then again, I'm sure she/he's found worse things left in beds....:)
ReplyDeleteThis was great ... from leaving the page behind to watching the journal being tossed around, dropped, dirtied ... wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAwesome wreckage! I loved how you left the page behind. And the game of catch was super cute!
ReplyDeleteLeaving it in the big clean fluffy bed ... one lost little page but so snuggly comfy and warm. Much kinder than being oh I dunno left on the bus or something. LOL KEEP ON WRECKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteps what is it with our kids who like to wreck on our behalf??!! :)
That was great! I bet they had so much fun. My grand son watched this with me and I gave him my extra copy so now we will have family wreckage together. This is my fist week . See ya next week.
ReplyDelete"Oh my, what's this person left in the bed for me to clean up? Hmm, 'lose this page', what kind of a crazy person has been sleeping in this bed? But then again... maybe I could lose this page too, perhaps I'll take it to the beach or shopping..."
ReplyDeleteAnd the page begins the next stage of its journey. Where will it go next? Who will it meet? Tune in to find out...
Max is a superstar wrecker! Hahaha.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea leaving the page behind! I can imagine the expression on the maid's face :)
I love that you left the page behind for someone else to find.
ReplyDeleteExcellent. The game of catch looked quite fun. Happy wrecking!
ReplyDeleteHa! Cool!
ReplyDeleteKids are still so free, haven't internalzed that voice that we grown-ups have, "Be careful. Don't mess it up. Don't break it. Stay clean." The journal is a cool way to silence those voices!
What a fabulous idea to leave your page in a hotel - You rock!! The video of journal-ball was great!
ReplyDeleteJournal catch lloks like fun! After the water and sun bath that page needed an extra rest in the hotel bed :)
ReplyDeleteFirst off, you have such a cute voice and laugh!
ReplyDeleteGreat wreckage--isn't it nice how the family gets involved?!
I had a painting adventure (that sounds more exciting than it was--I'm talking room painting) this weekend and totally didn't post (though I DID get paint on the journal)--I'll combine this week's and next together on Friday...
