Wreck This Journal: The Final Week

It is the final week of the Wreck This Journal play-along and I've spent some time thinking about what I have learned during these crazy two months.

I learned that while I am not willing to bake a journal into a batch of brownies, I am willing to take it in the shower, leave it on the sidewalk to dry and be mildly amused when a bird poops on it.

Here are some other things I earned:

Butter cream frosting starts to smell pretty funky after a month or so.

You can paint with coffee.

Crayons and markers are fun to play with and I don't do that nearly as much as I ought to.

Ash, at least paper ash does not adhere well no matter what kind of glue you use.

There are a lot of four letter words.

Blue is still my favorite color.

I had a blast with this project and it opened up all kinds of doors in my head. The act of wrecking loosened me up and I'm grateful for that.

  5. Bird poop! Priceless! And on the coffee theme, if you then
sprinkle on coffee power/grounds onto the wet coffee on the page it makes a really neat effect! So many things we've learnt!

  13. Isn't it wonderful to find that in just a short period of time (60days) you've changed your thinking...even if it's just to grab a box of crayons and a piece of paper when you are feeling like you need a creative outlet.

It's been so nice meeting you on this wrecking journey!

  14. I love the ghost ... I had a fondness for the supernatural :-) And those shades of blue (do I spy purple?) are gorgeous! I have this Journal, too...now that I'm settled into my new home and unsettled by the treatment regimen, maybe I'll be a bit more motivated to enjoy it! You've certainly inspired me :-)

  15. I'd let blue be my favorite color, too, if it allowed me to wreck a journal.
