Wreck This Journal: Week Four

It's been a slow journal wrecking week over here. Lots of small tasks have gotten in the way of any major wreckage, so last night I had to resort to something drastic - the shower.

I brought the journal in with me and though I felt very comfortable being naked with it, I couldn't help but let out a few little squeals as my journal soaked up all that water and became heavier and heavier.

It was saturated.

It's currently outside on the sidewalk, drying out in the sun.

  2. Love your fortune on the cover.

I hope it is hot out there honey - that thing takes a while to dry ;)

  3. This one is bothering me...do I do it in the beginning and deal with the puffy, wrinkled pages, or do I wait til the end, and possibly "destroy" my efforts. Wait...did I just figure out my dilemma? LOL!

This is WONDERFUL, Laura! You're so brave!

  4. P.S. Did you read Jamie's idea of swapping favorite pages with other wreckers (for the "give away your favorite page" page)? Do you want to be my swap buddy?

  5. I'm still worried about the shower thing...perhaps I should just do it! Get it over with instead of agonizing. Then I can put it outside to dry like you did!

I like your fortune on the cover, too!

  6. I'm still trying to plan the shower scene. I didn't think about how heavy the journal would get or how long it would take to dry...but I'm thinking those thoughts now. :)

Your fortune is a good one. I love it!

  8. Did the sun bake it dry? It's been raining so much here I had to resort to blow drying and ironing!

  9. Congrats on showering with the journal! I'm still in need of a shower today - I oughta just do it now before I think about it too long.

  12. For the record, the drying out took two full days in the hot South Texas (102 degree) sun. Now it's nice and wrinkly!
