Still Here

There are still boxes everywhere. It's part of the challenge of down-sizing a bit. We are still trying to place the bookshelves. We still need another lamp for the living room.

Each day dawns with the search for some missing thing, the stamps or the muffin tins, a pair of shoes or a clipboard.

I find myself writing little blog riffs in my head: about the sandals I keep parked by the back door, about reading poetry to second graders, about The Kid's obsession for all things Mac, but these don't really seem to go anywhere.

I have a new writing project which is keeping me happy and busy and there are all these boxes.

I am still here, just distracted.
