Still Waiting

Yes, I am still waiting for my biopsy results.

Today I was told that the report had arrived but that I could not be told the results until my doctor signed off on it and she would be in surgery all day. So, I guess I'll get the results tomorrow unless this sadistic bitch of an office comes up with some other reason to put me on hold.

I am (obviously) looking for a new dermatologist.

  1. "Eh, I don't think she's worried enough. Give her 'til Monday."

My newest pet peeve: Surgi-Centers, where they try to make you think you're going in for a manicure and pedicure, maybe a bit of Botox, when really things are a bit more serious than that.

    (Trying not to gripe.)

(Still knowing that everything is fine with your tests. But it will be good to hear them say the words.)

  2. My experiences with doctors and staff and hospitals have left me so cynical and angry. And it seems that everyone has a similar story. It's appalling.

I used to think that I could go to a doctor with my, or my child's, health concern, lay it in their lap and wait for them to "help" me, to tell me what to do. I don't think that anymore. Doctors work for us. Think of them as your employee. You direct you own health, and they are there to serve you. Good for you for planning to fire this dermatologist. Want to borrow MNS Laura?

If the doctor doesn't call you by midmorning, I would call and be calm but authoritative. MNS Laura would ream those Mothers out!
    XXXOOO :)

  3. Well, my no complaints bracelets better get here soon...

I'm taking The Kid to the library this morning and I'll call when we get back. I'm just appalled at how difficult it's been to get what is essentially my own health information.

I WILL channel MNS Laura if necessary!
