I'm mixing it up over at Derfwad Manor today. My long-promised chicken and dumplings recipe is there in all it's traditional southern glory...
I knew I would get a lot of fun comments from this, but you guys, all the hair compliments are just killing me! Really, y'all can come over to my blog and say nice things about my hair any day!
Thank you, Mrs. G for being such a gracious and generous hostess.

The recipe sounds delicious! This yankee is going to try it Sunday :-) Thanks! Love your hair, btw and you boy is adorable!
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you, Laura. You do, indeed, have nice hair. And the chicken recipe looks great. I'll be back.
ReplyDeleteSent here by Mrs. G. Great poem.
ReplyDeleteLove the redheaded boy--but then I have a real weakness for redheaded boys--I married one and I birthed one!
I am sorry, but Alton Brown is already spoken for by me. I worship the man. He can cook. He rides a motorcycle. He uses big words. He is a geek. He understands why egg whites foam. He prefers real butter. He is the PERFECT, PERFECT man.
ReplyDeletemrs. g. is the bomb, happy you did slow cook, so glad to have found another redhead!
ReplyDeleteFrom one red-head to another - hello!
ReplyDeleteCan you believe with this hair color, I didn't have one red-headed daughter? Unlike you with that beautiful red-headed son!
Great post - look forward to reading you more often.
Have a great day.
Hello from New Zealand. I often see your colourful sock icon on Mrg G's comment and loved it...and here you are!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling much better!
Thanks! I am feeling a lot better today - I love those socks too. They were a gift from my mom. My goal this year is to knit a pair for myself.
ReplyDeleteThat Joe Salerno poem left me breathless. Thank you so much for sharing it with the awesome Mrs.G.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course..your hair is YOWZA! Very cute note from your boy.
Great stuff!!
ReplyDeleteSent from Mrs. G....and where were you a week ago??! I grew up eating my Granny's 'chicken and dumplins' and got such a craving for them I decided to just try and do it. Pretty much the same recipe (with or without all that lovely grease!!)...'cept the dumplins are a bit differnt!! You gotta love southern cooking...just with a lot of time in between!!
ReplyDeleteLovely meeting you!!
debbie
Nice to meet you. Chicken and dumplings are my favorite. Maybe someday I'll have the time to actually try to make this recipe!
ReplyDeleteNow you're famous for your hair. I wish I even had that potential. . . . glad you're feeling better!
