The Day Before

Today we walked around the mall, had The Kid's picture taken with Santa, made a last minute run through the grocery store, had lunch, made a brine for the turkey (do not ever taste brine – salty salty salty), baked a chocolate fudge cake, picked nits out of my precious child's hair after pouring a vinegar solution on it (he smells like a pickle - a yummy yummy pickle), made cranberry sauce and I am now drinking a cold cold Shiner Bock while a lasagna heads toward the oven. So far so good with the Thanksgiving stuff…


Maybe tomorrow I'll show you the praying mantis we found in the backyard!

  1. Nothing like a few nits in the stuffing. Adds protein and tastes like chicken.
