I Made This!

This week I started knitting a new sock. This is number two of a pair and getting that second sock started is always hard for me. I've already knit one sock and am a little bored with the yarn by now. Plus, I really really don't enjoy casting on with double pointed needles or the back and forth, knit and purl of working on the cuff. Yet, here I am, cast on, past the cuff and on to the body of the sock which is by far my favorite part!

I almost always have a sock on needles for someone in my family. This particular sock is for Frank but Max is next in line given that he has totally outgrown every pair of hand knit socks he has. These socks are being repurposed to keep the floor safe from the scratchy legs of his music stand.

  1. Okay, the synchronicity of this is CRAZY. You shared knitting a sock. I shared crocheting a sock. You are re-purposing socks for a music stand. I am creating a sock so that it can be used as a protective covering on our guitar stand!!!

All of that totally makes me smile! Thank you so much for taking part in the first ever I Made This! ((bighugs))

  2. I have the knitting needles and the yarn. I do know how to knit and pearl and thats it! My best friend knits socks and I love them! She is going to teach me but the problem is she lives in Nova Scotia and I live in northern Maine. Love that you and Jamie are both thinking socks. Winter is still with us :)

  5. Another brave knitter! I am so fascinated by this art form but fear I could do great damage with pointy objects, lol! The colors are beautiful and looks like they will be so warm and snuggly! Thanks for sharing!

  8. Compared to many other watches out there Panerai watches are simple, but the devil is in the polish and the details. The refined designs are flattering to the wearer and function well as timepieces. Replica Panerai watches smooth sides of the square Santos are enhanced by screws on the rubber coated black bezel and on the segmented rubber strap. My personal favorite line in the Replica Panerai Watches collection is the Santos. The Replica Panerai Watches100 XL is their larger version of the watch, the standard model is a bit small for my tastes. In a route one way, this influence makes a lot of sense - the purpose of both sets of images is to create striking pictures that put Valentino handbags in the centre.
