Al Fresco

When we lived in Maine and New York and Ohio, we waited impatiently for that first Spring day when it was warm enough to eat outside.

Here in San Antonio, we wait (and wait) for the weather to begin to cool, so we can have dinner out on the deck.

Last night, we had our first deck dinner of the season, with Legos of course.

A lazy dinner with ice cream for dessert and after dinner

we played with fire.

  1. Here in River City, we put off bringing in the yard furniture as long as we can, even though everything is drenched with rain and covered with spiders and their webs. And earwigs. Then we say, "We can have a few more dinners outside!" (Wrapped in fleece and shivering.)

Finally brought it all in two weeks ago.

We did get to dine al fresco a lot this summer, though.

  2. Wow, hard to believe it's just cooling down there. We're seriously into fall, heading to winter. No dining al fresco here!

  7. Hi Linda! You're a knitter?! I'm part of a handmade gift carnival that's happening in November. If you have a gift making idea, I hope you'll share it.

    And, welcome!
