Digital Mammography Rocks!

What do you hate most about having a mammogram? I hate waiting while they look at your films. Now, I agree the breast smashing part is unpleasant but I can handle a minute or two of discomfort for the greater good (remember me and my sinus rinse )?

No, it's the sitting back down and waiting that drives me over the edge, because it is always at this point that I become convinced that I am riddled with breast cancer. That's why it's taking so long, the radiologist is trying to psyche himself up to come out and tell me the terrible news. I sit in my little gown and wait for the first shoe to drop. The longer it takes, the more distressed I get. I have been know to sob hysterically cry during this waiting. It never dawns on me that perhaps my technician has stopped to get herself a Diet Coke before coming to tell me that all's well and that I can get dressed and have my parking validated and go home.

But with digital mammography, there is no wait. The technician just stepped back to check the computer image after every shot and I was outta there in under 15 minutes. No tears. Awesome!

Now, on a more serious note, have any of you seen The Kid's blue hoodie? It seems to have disappeared over the weekend and I spent a large portion of the day looking for it with no luck.

  1. I'll get back to you on the hoodie. It might be in the back of my car.

  2. I'll look for the hoodie as soon as I get home.

  3. Congrats on the successful mamogram! I'm assuming all is well with the milkies?!
