I've made a conscious choice to NOT have an extraordinarily busy life--and I'm well aware that it's quite a luxury to even have the choice in the first place. But it goes beyond be able to make the choice--it's allowing myself, ourselves, to make the choice. It's so easy to just keep adding it on--even without a 9 to 5 job. Not just easy--expected. And to say no to that can be a difficult thing indeed. But yes, when those unusually busy weeks happen, I end up feeling ever so grateful for the life I have...Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09182248478422009913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1554620410061286429.post-16167625477200021282010-10-09T23:11:40.352-05:002010-10-09T23:11:40.352-05:00peace, Laura.peace, Laura.Wacky Mommyhttp://wackymommy.org/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1554620410061286429.post-47302564943804852892010-10-07T18:14:59.606-05:002010-10-07T18:14:59.606-05:00Interesting! I try not to schedule appts, I don't answer the phone, I stay off the computer and then I read whatever I like. I hear comments ranging from "must be nice" to "I wish I could do that".

Well, I understand because I used to say the same thing. But now I just take the time to do it because I realized that no one was going to hand it to me. And it makes such a difference in my day!michiganmehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17382981338459247426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1554620410061286429.post-150130267861497102010-10-07T07:33:33.359-05:002010-10-07T07:33:33.359-05:00I am so, so, so glad that I'm not the only one...I am so, so, so glad that I'm not the only one whose days are like this. I am constantly doodling about, doing occasional chores in between to justify my existence. When I told a friend that I sometimes liked to watch a movie during the day, she looked at me as if I were insane. I think some people's "craziness" is self-created, and I'm a much happier person for not going down that road. Now, where's my book?Michele Rhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17891869038785446361noreply@blogger.com
